Next phase

Massive lunch with great ppl on my last week of work or maybe the last time ?
Can someone just tell me that I have just make another smart move instead of quitting a job even before securing another one ? Very often, I tend to pop this question to myself, what comes next is to justify why my moves ?
I certainly hope 'opportunity cost' is able to answer this question.

At least I knew very clearly what I want in life but this isn't enough, I read a book recently.... it says: when opportunity knock on your door, seize the chance with ample preparations. and yes ! I'll have to be ready anytime...not just knowing what you want.
