It all ended up in the law of karma. No matter which doctrine teaches it, it is speaking an eternal truth. The actions we choose today will come back again tomorrow, next month or even next year. And they either proposed us with a nice return for a kindness we rendered or a kick in the pants for some intentional cruelty we dished out to someone else. We may think we are "getting away with something" no matter how large or small the infringement may be, whether to ourselves or some other person or institution, but it will not just slip by unresolved.
For every man shall bear his own burden. . . . For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
