SINGAPORE'S newest boutique hotel Wanderlust offers guests accommodations of 29 different flavours - from pantone-coloured capsule-like rooms to a forested loft with a tree monster. In fact, all rooms in this hotel in Little India are individually designed - their funky decor and bold concepts the creation of three leading design agencies. Wanderlust will officially open on August 26, so here's a preview look.

first aid myths debunked

I thought this could be kinda useful in our everyday life so I wanted to share it here. cheers!

Myth #1 : Burns
Treat a burn or a scald with butter, mayonnaise, toothpaste or ice.

Expert advice
Not only is it unhygienic, the chemicals in the food substances may increase pain and cause infection.

Solution : Gradually cool the affected area by running tap water over it.

Myth #2: Bruise
Rub a hard boiled egg over a bruise to ease blood circulation.

Expert advice
"The friction can cause even more internal bleeding."

Solution: Apply an ice pack over the bruise to reduce internal bleeding.

Myth #3: Fainted
Place onion or garlic under the nose to revive a person who has fainted.

Expert advice
"This has no recorded medical benefit for this."

Solution : One usually faints because of insufficient blood flow to the brain. Lay the victim face up and raise his legs to increase blood flow to the brain.

A cool weather doesn't just mean that it's all about sleeping in .. also to pamper myself with some good songs. To me , good songs are beautifully written,able to capture the rhythm and most importantly, it triggers my emotion and convey what the singer is trying to express. I enjoy listening to sad love song that might get you traumatised. Okkkk. I admit, I'm a sicko and a saddist. what to do ? I just appreciated such songs and am always amazed by the gift that is credited to the songs writer. 3 cheers to 梁静茹, she's awesome!
